You have to remove the screw, then the whole brake rotor comes off

The bearings are on the hub, not on the brake rotor. The hub with the bearing stays on the car. It does not get removed to replace the rotor.

You take off the caliper, you remove the two screws, you remove the brake rotor from the hub.

Did you just take out the big nut in the middle or something??? If so, you took off the hub.

Normally the hub stays on the spindle (and car) when replacing the brake rotor.

It sounds like that's what he did. He mentioned, above, that the screws holding the rotor on would not budge.

just drill the heads of the screws off....and when putting new rotor on the hub put some anti-seize on it, that'll help prevent the hub and rotor from fusing together...

btw the screws are there just for holding the rotor on for ease of installing the wheel. the screw doesn't actually have anyother purpose.

just hand tighten the brake caliper on...50lbs.ft? also after drilling the screws out if the rotors won't budge, then you can use a bolt (i found that the rear bolt that holds the caliper in position fit . NOT the ones that hold the bracket down.) and screw the bolt down to release the rotor without damaging anything.
