Brake Pads????

Anybody know of good brake pads to get? I needed some a little ways back bad and didn't want to wait for them through the mail, so I went to autozone and bought the cheap $14.00 ones(big mistake, but it the only ones they carried for my car). I think I'm going deaf over here! Anybody have any suggestions???? I would like to go to a parts store like today and not have to order them. But I will if I have to. But has anybody had any luck with any store bought brands?

Thanks

with brake pads you generaly get what you pay for... all depends on what you are looking for too (quietness, dusting...)

i just ordered a new set of oem pads from mazdatrix... didnt want to deal with dusting and squeeking... they should be here in a few days and ill let you know how they work out.

if your brakes are working right now i would just order something... you will pay less and get more quality than you will probably find in any local stores.... unless you are near any rx7 places in texas... (rx7.com or something)

Anybody had any luck with the brand rx7.com sells? You think they will be worth the money? I guess there just like 10 bucks more compared to OEM pads.

I use Axxis Semi-Racing brake pads - some kind of metal in them or something. One step down from racing pads, which need to be warmed up for good response, which means lots of hard braking - no thanks. But the semi-racing are great! Them Aussie's are smart!

I have those. They are good pads. However, I do notice a weaker initial bit in colder temps with those pads. BTW, I daily drive my car.

Its not too dramatic tho.

I think I'll try Hawk or EBC next.
