Brake pad questions

i've read that the front brake pads are the same regardless of caliper used. would it be true then if i bought pads for the single piston calipers and then switched to the 4 pistons, i could just swap the pads?

Yep, the front pads are different. Im pretty sure the rear pads are the same, reguardless of model, but the front are definately way different of the 4 piston calipers.

Correct. The rear pads are the same(although the calipers and rotors are wider), but the front pads are different. The front rotors are the same though, for all 5 lug.
