Brake light issue *Searched*
K, the car's an 88 first off...
I've been meaning to post this, but I just end up trying to fix it myself with no luck.
Here's the problem. Over the past few months, I've noticed more and more that as I step on the brakes, my lights don't seem to want to come on. I then discovered that if I move the brake pedal a bit to the right with my foot, it would very slightly make a clicking noise as if it was setting into place, and the lights would work. Recently, it's been getting very frequent. Now, no matter what I do, they refuse to come on. I checked around for wires and such that were out of place/disconnected/coming loose. Nothing. Tried pulling the brake pedal out with my hands. After a lot of force, they came on. Now that won't even work.
What can I do to fix this? I know it's not the lights themselves, those work fine. It's definitely something to do with the pedal.
Any advice?

Well, just went out and gave it a few turns both ways, still nothing.
Anything else it could be? The black switch down there was depressed all the way, and still nothing. Connectors bad?

The switch is depressed when you're not pushing the pedal.
Applying the brakes releases the switch, contact is made and the brake lights come on.
If everything is functional, you should be able to adjust (well, misadjust actually) the switch so the lights are always on.
To do this, unscrew the switch till it doesn't make contact with the pad on the pedal.
If the lights still fail to come on, undo the two wires on the switch and temporarily connect them.
If the lights now work, you have a bad switch and it needs replacement.
