BOV mounting

BOV mounting

just got this blow off valve in the mail... what do i need to do to have it welded to my piping... hks ssqv owners please chime in!

hmmm dude you can get a big ID sized vacuum line and link it to the stock bov pipe already on your car, or if the flange is aluminum get the it welded to a aluminum straight pipe about the size as you stock pipe, if you do that you'll obviously need to cut the flange and maybe want to port it all in one shot.

Find someone who can weld aluminum. Cut the nipple off the bottom of the flange and then drill your stock turbo outlet pipe to match. Now weld the flange onto the pipe.

It's kind of a pointless mod when you have a perfectly working stock BOV though. The open vented BOV is just going to be a noise maker and will cause the car to run pig rich at the time of shift. Flames are cool though...
