where do i put a aftermarket bov on my 87 turbo..? pics would help..

 

If you still have the top-mounted intercooler (TMIC), then you need to get a BOV adapter-pipe thing. It replaces the stock BOV mounting unit with one that will accomodate a stock BOV (such as a Greddy Type-S) like I have.

The replacement pipe that I have is one that Greddy sells.

OMFG.....

.. look at your turbo... between the oulet of thhe turbo and the inlet of the intercooler.. there is a hard pipe.. this hard pipe contains the discharge port fo the BOV, which is hooked up to the discharge port by a piece of rubber pipe. the BOV is the thing in the middle of the tube with a round "hat" on it with a vac tube going into it. Thhe exhaust ot the BOV then runs into the Turbo inlet duct, just after it comes out of the air filter box. the hardpipe ALSO has a port where the BAC air intake hooks into.

... the BOV kits made fore the FC come with a replacement hardpipe with the BAC hookup and a mounting flange for the BOV.

I tried looking for a pic for ya, but everything i found was just the generic pic of the BOV... Sometimes, they will have the whole kit contents pictured on E-bay.
