Bought set of Volk Daytona Speed. Will they fit?

I bought a set of Volk Racing Daytona Speeds for $400 yesterday so I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out whether or not they will fit my FC. The label indicates they are 17x7 +42 offset. I was planning on wrapping them with a set of Kumho Ecsta ASX 215/40ZR17 (I'm a n00b so I looked on tirerack and came to this decision. Correct me if I'm totally wrong or chose a crap tire. ) . Will this fit or will I run into problems?

You should go for a 205/50/17, a 215/45/17 or a 225/45/17. Those are much closer to the stock diameter so that your speedo will stay correct. With the wider sizes you may need to run a bit of a spacer up front.

Hmm, if I don't feel like running spacer, would the 215/45/17 fit without spacers?

Probably. People running stock 16x7 40mm offset TII wheels often run 225/50/16's with no rubbing, but some people have rubbing problems.

You'll probably be ok, but it's not a guarantee.

Are you running coilovers? I can't even fit a stock TII wheel (16x7 +40 w/205/60/16) on my gxl without a 3/16'' spacer. Coilovers change a lot of stuff.
