Bought my RX7

3500 for 68,000 on the clock, 13b non-turbo 1987 sport

I want to do the following upgrades.

Brakes, new rotors, pads, and upgrade to the 4 caliper pistons. To do this what do I need to upgrade, hopefully just the caliper if I'm so lucky?

Also I was looking for at least 300hp or more is better through turbo or a supercharger. What kind of upgrades do I need to make and how reliable can I expect it to be.

Wider Tires/Rims, I'm not a huge fan of the geo metro tires on a "Sports Car". Any recommendations would be great.

Also until I go turbo anything that boosts hp would be good right now. Exhaust, intake, anything you guys recommend.

if you have 4 bolt hubs, you have to switch over to the 5 bolt setup to use 4 piston calipers.

do your exhaust, get rid of the cats, thats a big one, intake will help.

down the road, do a turbo II swap, its really easy.

if you have the 4 lug hubs/rims you can swap out the hubs only for now if you cant change the calipers right away. but you will have to order new 5lug rotors and pads for the non heavy duty brake system.....unless its already the heavy duty 4pot calipers up front and the vented rears in teh back then you are good to go.

I suppose if you had access to the more expensive units....though the FC brakes are nearly teh same, and much easier to find in the forsale section. I think I swapped my entire car over to 5 lug hubs, 4pot front calipers and left teh non heavy duty rears for about $400, 100 bucks for the parts car with donor parts, then the new pads and rotors on all 4 corners for 300
