Borla or Racing Beat exhaust

I know both exhausts are good but with the RB header and presilencer which sound the best. I have heard borla with a downpipe and Bonez cat. It sounds like a 350 Z. Does the pitch change much with the header and presilencer. Your input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Ive got the borla and I am happy with it.

They claim you will get 8 hp and 10 torque from the exhaust, but having headers will definitely bring the car its full hp potential.

Sorry, but this has been bothering me. It's a ******* HEADER. Not plural.

And power gains with a straight pipe in place of a cat and a presilencer (like RB's cat replacement pipe + presilencer combo) are very comparable to having a HEADER and complete exhaust system. Just FYI. I've had the opportunity to basically compare the back to back.

Yeah thats a good question, which one makes more HP/TQ on an NA s4, I'm in the exact same scenario as OP. Anybody have audio clips of the borla revving up? youtube has a couple RB setups.

How big is the piping on the Borla exhaust before the split and what's the diameter on the piping of the rear sections? Is it 3in into 2.375(60mm)? or smaller for NA?

Thanks,

J

I had a borla catback, bonez high flow cat, and a RB header. it was really nice sounding, but would resonate alot around 3500rpm. This was quite annoying on long freeway drives but nice around town. My brother has a RB system (header back) and its also nice sounding. Between them, I liked my setup more, it had a stronger tone. I cant compare power since I had a Tii tranny and diff.

Borla is 2.5 " before the y pipe and dual 2" after the y pipes , the size of the tips is probably 2 1/4 "

I have some clips of my car with just the borla catback without header but only revving to 3500rpm, and one with header and straight pipe revving to only 3500rpm , I was revving low because the engine wasnt broken in yet.
