Boost spike on a S4 ?

Im gonna be gettin a rebuilt engine and I wanna put in my fcd I am gonna go get 680 secondaries. I wont be using a boost controler but i have a good flowing exhaust "inch all the way back including downpipe. is there a chance i will hit boost creep ?

creep has nothing to do with your boost controller.
Creep is when the wastegate is open but simply can not vent the exhuast fast enough to keep it from continuing to spin the turbine...

The only way to avoid it is to port the crap out of your S4 wastegate, or get a S5 manifold and turbo.

my 89 TII with 3"dp and 3" mp and stock catback held a steady 7.5psi with occasional very rare spike to 10psi then right back down to 7.5psi. check www.thepartstrader.com for S5 turbo and manifold or even ebay. ported S4 wastegates still tend to creep.... NJFC3S 88 TII with full 3" exhaust hits 11psi consistently with no boost control and spikes a little.

One pic of the 1989-1991 Kouki turbo wastegate versus the single off the 1986-1988 Zenki turbo wastegate.
