Boost sensor --> idle correlation?

Does the boost sensor do anything at idle/revving in neutral? i dont think mine is calibrated properly because it stays below zero when the key is in on (like -10 mmhg)... just wondering if it can affect idle in any way

That's probably just the gauge in the dash.. I don't know anyone who has one that works' perfectly. I know I'm on boost when mine reaches zero, it is about the same as yours. Unplug it, I bet your idle doesn't change.

yes. try taking the hose off while the car is idling. the car will almost want to stall.

also there should be no reading on the factory boost gauge with the key in the ON position.
It should stay at -20.

it should STAY AT -20? I heard otherwise. I heard that it was supposed to be at 0? Is there anything in the FSM about that? I looked around but couldnt find crap, aside from testing the boost sensor LOL

Anyone else know?
