Boost question
I'm curious about what my boost should be and the next steps to get more. I have a JDM S5 Turbo swap with Trust FMIC, Apexi single exhaust with midpipe. A FCD and 720cc secondaries. I was expecting to get arous 10psi but I'm seeing 5-6psi. Is this about right or should I have more? What are some things I can do to get to 10-12psi? (which is what I've read is the highest to run safely on stock turbo and ecu)

boost controller! if it was my car, i would use the T that the factory boost solenoid used and make that a bleeder style. or maybe shim the wg actuator.
you have to be a little careful and make sure its safe when you raise the boost, so make small changes, but 9-10psi should be fine. more boost than that, and the turbo will just fall off harder up top

If the JDM has a boost solenoid, cut off the hose and connection at the wastegate and run the hoses to the fender well and install a boost controller. The S5 we purchased new back in '89 needed some additional power as it was falling behind the new cars, so back in '01 I bypassed the boost solenoid, disconnected the wiring and installed a Hallman boost controller. Run 12 lbs and it’s been great with just a 3G fuel pump and a G-Force ecu. Still original factory mufflers with a Bonez converter.
