was this originally an NA? If so, you shouldn't have to rewire the pump. If it was a Turbo II, then I think it is a good idea to rewire that pump to provide a constant 12V instead of the 10 volts or whatever it puts out on teh stock turbo wiring.

You may also want to upgrade your fuel pump from the NA one to a turbo one at least. (If this is a swapped car)

Hey Man, I'm runnin the same setup... gonna be installin my 720cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, rtek 1.7 ecu, and boost controller on friday. It should drive similar to yours so if you haven't done it yet I can let you know what to expect power wise.

So, ya 12 pounds is a lot of fun man! The mid-range power is incredible, the only downside is by the time you get to redline the boost is dropping off and you can feel the power dwindle down, but from 4k-6.5k it's a whole new machine (popping some crazy loud flames tho). Hope you enjoy it too man!

hmm, actually haven't thought about it, probably not cuz I'd be sad if it wasn't as high as I'm guessing (which it never is, lol). I know a guy on here who did 275 rwhp with stock turbo on 12 psi and 2.5" DP, so anything is possible.

Measure your intake temps at 12 PSI vs. 10 PSI. You'll find the difference is enormous. Thus, 12 PSI is about the absolute limit you will want to take that turbo.

Ya think an untuned 12psi can see 13 seconds in the 1/4 mile?

it will show zero seconds if you blow it up without tuning it.

^^^Quite obvious...

Well, considering I walked a s/c grand prix that had a 13.8 time slip on 7psi I'd say it's very plausible

ive been told by many people theres not much i can do to tune my car, because i have the rtek and its already preset to what its supposed to be at. i mean, im gettin an safc soon to get a little more fine tuning, but i dont know how much that will do.

Upgrade that rtek to the 2.0 No need for a SAFC.

Stock pump, as in the NA pump? Get rid of that thing before you start running anything over stock boost. The NA fuel pump will not flow well at all at high fuel pressures. Skip buying a stock TII pump, and just get one from an FD. It'll cost you the same price used, and outflow the TII pump. The 3rd gen guys practically give them away in the classified section.

The difference in running race gas over some pump gas is that you will likely lose a little power. Octane ratings do not equal power ratings. Octane is just the knock resistance of the fuel, which means it is actually more difficult to ignite. More difficult to ignite means it will burn less completely. This is a very common misconception. If the car your friend saw gained power when using race gas, it would be because the owner turned the boost up due to the fact that he could push the envelope a little more and not get detonation.
