Boost Problem Found?

I finally had time to take check my intake piping and the ic piping and found that the piece of plastic that goes around the turbo has about a 4 in crack. It split right down the seem. I need to know if this is what is most likley caussing my boost problem. And if i do the TID mod will i need to to anything to match it?

Leaks between the turbo and the TB will cause loss of boost, but the TID won't. It will cause a shitty idle because of the unmetered air getting into the engine though. Fix it ASAP.

I remember reading on here many times that the TID crack will lower the boost. It's after the AFM so I guess it would cause a lean mixture (more air than is measured) and this could cause low boost. I'm guessing here......but I DO remember reading this many times on the forum.

PS. You can do a temp. with electrical tape (believe it or not). Wrap it all the way around so that it can't get sucked into the tubo. Several layers will seal it up good. It needs to be fixed whether or not it is causing your low boost.

Shitty air filter can yield lowered boost. Don't ask how I found out .

Unmetered and unfiltered air. Bad for a compresor blade that is moving at greater than 75,000 rpm at times.
