driving on highway on the way to school and my boost meter spiked up and I heard a weird noise so I pulled over right away and the car shut off. Popped the hood and I smelled a burning oil smell but everything seemed ok. Tried to crank it up again and it goes but just won't turn over. I know one of the gaskets for the turbo was broken and I ordered new ones but I'm not sure, bought the car this past weekend off a forum member. Any ideas or suggestions to look for, first rotary. Thanks

 

when you say boost spike, by how much?

 

It's set at 15 psi it shot up to the 0 and I heard sputtering. I know one if the gaskets on the turbo mani is gone. I'm shutting bricks

set at 15? youre running 15 psi? between the two threads you made for the same issue it doesnt state if this car has any mods, but if you think you can run 15psi on your stock engine...yeeeeeeah...
