Boost gauge stuck after install

I purchased a 52mm electronic GReddy boost gauge. Before the install the needle was a little to the right of full vacuum. I wired up the sensor and vacuum lines, hooked up the wires for the ignition, lighting, etc., plugged in the gauge and it zero'ed itself. Unplugged the gauge and it pegged itself past 2 BAR.

After a few searches I found 1 thread with a similar problem and the OP responded saying that after driving for a bit the gauge unstuck itself.

I turned the car on, nothing. Started driving without hitting boost, nothing. Once on the highway I began to build boost pressure and the needle on the gauge swung itself around, gave me a boost reading, and then settled itself back down in vacuum while crusing.

Park the car, turn it off and the needle goes back up past 2 BAR. Same thing again, hop in the car, turn it on, nothing. Drive it and build boost and needle swings back around and works fine until the car is shut off again.

I went over the few vacuum lines in between the pressure sensor, BOV, GReddy pressure sensor and nipple on the manifold. All lines are in good condition with no leaks and the stock pressure sensor line contains the "pill."

Am I missing something? Anyone experience this?

it's probably grounding out too much. rewire it to a more solid ground and power source....

Well to be honest I'm still a little stuck. I put it on a better ground and it does the same thing...but not all of the time. Even re-wired the gauge.

I'm beginning to think it's the gauge causing the problem.

When it works, it works well.
