Boost gauge constantly at 5psi

after i installed my air pump directly to my split pipe just for air care, i noticed that my aftermarket boost gauge is constantly at 5psi even when i am off the throttle. My friend may have unplugged some cables around the inter cooler piping to the left of the car, behind the air pump. even after removing the the hose going to split pipe the issue is still there. (air pump and split pipe are still installed both hoses terminating in engine bay, no time to remove). I am pretty sure it is still reading because when i go full throttle my boost gauge picks up.

I am also noticing hesitation at 3500, this just started happening last night after i installed the air pump.

fyi: i have been driving with the cat installed with no split pipe or air pump for 4 days, if that makes a difference.

make sure the line your boost gauge is connected to doesnt have any open ends or leaks if it is being shared off a tee with other devices..

What brand boost gauge do you have?

okay, ya you were right there was hose that was loose leading to the gauge. while i was doing that i also found a leak going into the turbo. we had to take one of the clamps off to do our airpump hack job i guess 1 clamp wasn't enough to hold it and the second one came loose. the good is, i passed air care 1st try . thanks.
