I stated in the beginning of the thread I was keeping it cheap to test it, and afterwards, I'm gonna opt for a tial. but this is what I'll have for a month or so. I've actually spoken to the manufacturer (not just the seller) of this product and they stand behind it pretty well and speak pretty highly of it. But never the less I'll end up getting a good one. I didnt really expect it to work for more than a few months cuz its ebay stuff but still, it does look like some good quality and good construction, not like the 40$ ones on there that look like they'd melt! I will keep you guys up to date! Thanks for all the input I really apriciate it.

Well great news, so far so good rock solid 7 psi of boost! I'm happy now! I even get the backfiring again that I havn't seen in soo long! The sign of extra fuel! But I'm gonna definitely get a better waste gate but for the mean time this bitch is great! I'll get this thing up on a lift hopefully sometime really soon and get some good picture of the setup on the car. Thanks for the support guys!

You get consistent boost in all gears? Even at WOT in 4th or 5th?

thanks guys, I'm goign to the Miami international auto show today so when I get back I'll take some pics of this thing up in the air.

The only down side is you have to use the S4 manifold IMO. Because on the S5 theres no room to get a good sized hole, and the 2 runners dont come together inside the manifold.

I wish someone could copy this for me. Or at least the backplate for the turbo. I plan on putting my Rtek in and some other stuff and want to get an S5 turbo on my 10th AE but dont want to mess with porting a wastegate. Especially since im on a 3 inch exhaust with a RB rotor muffler so restriction is non existant.

I have the turbine housing. In fact i have a whole S5 hybrid turbo but the turbine wheel has some bent fins. Is there anyone i could pay to port the housing on that? I would then get a new wheel and have it balanced.

I bet that little sucker screams. Could you post up some Rtek logs so I can compare my boost response to yours. I am really wanting to get a 3" exhaust, so I want to see how much better your boost response is than mine. You can PM me it if you want.

EDIT: Nevermind I see that the Rtek 2.1 is on your "Soon" list, my bad. PM me some logs when you get it.

I will for sure, I should have it in the early part of next year. Yea, that its loud but not too obnoxious lol When I get to higher rpms its sounds like a bad exhaust leak at the dp

subscribed for later reference I'm rebuilding a t2 to swap my n/a and will be going for 300-350rwhp. I think I may be going with some type of t04r turbo, not too sure yet, may just send an s5 unit to bnr to be rebuilt and upgraded. car will be a daily driver/weekend drifter. might as well deal with the boost creep problem before the motor even goes in. Bases=covered.lol.

I'm also wondering this. I tried to find something on youtube, but the options were very limited for FC's with external wastegates.

You could probably just weld up the factory flapper door and have the 38mm do all the work, right?
