boost controller need some help please!

I have a greddy profec b 2 and i'm having some problems with it right now. I think its functional, but its not reading any vacuum when i'm idling, It just stays at 0, which is not right. i checked my vac lines, and the the boost controller line is connected to the vac line from the fpr. Do i need to connect it to something else like the boost sensor? I'm not getting a good reading, so i thought it mite be the plastic filter as well, so i ordered a new one. Any suggestions???

Don't use the FPR vacuum line. I think it's on a solenoid and is sometimes denied vacuum (like at startup). Use the vacuum line leading to the pressure sensor.

Are you SURE that the controller will read less then 0? I have not used that controller but it's conceivable that the display only shows positive pressure.

+1 on not hooking up to the FPR vacuum line...try t'ing it into where your boost gauge reads from

I have noticed that mine does that too. But it only does it on start up idle, once I start driving and idle it again it reads about -7 to -8 on the display. But Aaron it does read negative to -9.9. I have mine hooked to the FPR, so maybe I will switch that up.

I know it reads negative, because it use too. I'll try changing it to the pressure sensor. i'm just wondering why its not reading vacuum, and if thats the reason why the boost falls of at high rpm.

could that also be the reason why my boost is falling off at high rpm/high duty in higher gears?

You boost is falling off because the turbo is too small.

Your talking about the reference line to the unit right? You should keep the line to your fpr dedicated and don't tee anything into it.

And yes, the profec b with the digital display should show both boost and vacuum.

what kind of boost controller do you have? You might not be able to...

With ones like the greddy profec B you can't.
