Issues after suspension install

Any ideas would be great here. I just put some tokico blues and eibach springs into my S5 on monday and got it aligned on tuesday. I only really got to drive it good yesterday and i noticed two things.

1- When I turn the wheel it makes a noise that is hard to dscribe. Its not a clunk or grind, more like a squeak/rubbing noise. I checked to see if the shocks were rubbing on something but couldnt see any signs of this. Could something be too tight?

2- When I turn the wheel just sitting at a stop/ at idle, the engine will rev to like a grand and then come back down to idle when I stop turning the wheel. It didnt do this before to my knowledge. Other than the surge the car runs mint and pulls hard all the way to 8k.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

1.If it is when you turn the wheel it is something to do with your power steering. If it is a squeal it could be the belt or the bearing in the pump itself.

2. It could also be your power steering when it idles too. At idle and you turn your wheel it steals power from the motor, so it will rev up to help keep it from stalling. It should be normal, but wait for someone else to answer too. My older supra would rev down and stall, so it turned out to be a small leak in the line. Finally it busted and I had to replace it. But for the squeal raise your hood and listen for the belts or at the pump itself. It is probably not your suspension components.

Yea thats pretty much along the lines of what i was thinking. I didnt think it was any of the suspension components but something to d owit hsteering components. I havent had a chance to have someone turn the wheel for me when i listen to it. it is nice out today so after work i will check it out.

Sounds like a 'tick' sound maybe? On initial turn in, and maybe when the weight shifts whille braking? Make sure to check tie rod ends, balljoints and bearing play (if it's been a while have bearings cleaned, checked and repacked with grease - edit: you can only service/maintain the front ones, as the rears are sealed).

Your suspension work may have made an existing condition more pronounced. GL, it can be hard to pinpoint some noises. Oh, speaking of which, also - rubber busings sometimes start going and allow metal to metal contact (i.e. stabilizer bar end links <dog bone shape>). Definitely check balljoints and tie rod ends (outer especially) for safety.

edit: the engine idle change is normal, as the BAC adjusts to engine load changes using the sensors - in this specific case the p/s pressure sensor and steering angle sensor and P/S computer under the dash.

The sound is when im sitting still. it also does it when im driving but is hard to hear over the exhaust note. When i am sitting in the driveway and turn the steering wheel it makes the squeak/squeal noise. I have heard metal on metal before and it isnt that kind of noise.

Yes when i turn the steering wheel when the car is idling in the driveway, not sure if it does it when its not running but i think it does too.
