Question Bonez Race Pipe

I have a 90 GXL with leaky catalytic converter. I am looking to replace it with a Bonez Race Pipe w/ pre-silencer.
My car is bone stock, just looking for the cheapest/best replacement. We have no inspection or emissions testing here.
Has anybody had any experience with this pipe?
I will be installing it myself, so any tips would be helpful.

Installation is a piece of cake. Getting the cat off can be a pain. I used a breaker bar and my foot (carefully, don't kick the car off the stands) to literally break the bolts loose. When you remove the cat you can also remove the air pump which opens up the engine compartment nicely.

NA's might be different, but I'm not sure you need the presilencer if you're running stock mufflers. I have a downpipe, "racepipe" and stock mufflers and it's not that loud.

Yeah.. with stock mufflers, it's still pretty quiet.. a bit more smelly, tho, but who cares! <G>

If you have an impact wrench, you'll be very happy.. the cat bolts are a REAL pain... the bolts up at the manifold are usually not as bad, for some reason...

The bonez race pipe/presilencer does have a provision for a 6p actuation line...but i'm not sure if the stock mufflers would provide enough backpressure to do it.. I bet it would still work, however...

eh...worst case, you can always tie them open.. I did, and all that "low end power loss" isn't really a big deal.

Honestly, I tied them open before the midpipe, and i noticed a low end (1500-3000) IMPROVEMENT from the midpipe... backwards from what I expected, but welcome, nonetheless.

Pick up a can of "PB Blaster" and spray it all over the nuts, and let it set over night. The next moring the nuts will come off much easier.
