bOnEz air intake
hey fellow rotarists...just wondering what you think about the bonez air intake kit on rx7.com...i might be getting one. id just like to see peoples opinions on it first...
well got my filter a couple of days ago and already have it on...but i was wondering...to people who ordered the intake...on the instructions it said to unplug the electrical cable thingy from the AFM. but then later on it never said to plug it back on...so i wondering. do u leave it unplugged? or plug it back in? i already plugged it back in but i just wanna find out

I have it. It does what it's advertised to do, but is more expensive than other intake kits...
Also, do not mount your AFM sideways as it my mention in the instructions. Make sure to mount it in the factory orientation (believe me, it matters).

Why dont you just get the auminum intake adapter, and got to advanced or autozone and get a K&N cone filter and a breather filter, all for about $50. Does the same thing, doesnt look much different, and costs about 1/3 of what the bonez or Apexi ones do.
i agree with Rxmfn7 I bought it from them for their $140 or what eve, its just sitting in my room right now, Ijust got one of those reactive air filters with the heat sheild, if you want mine I'll let it go for $50 just cleaned it and everything.............

I used to own an n/a(it's currently owned by my father), so it would probably be a good idea to tell him to "right" the AFM.

In the '86-'88 cars, mounting the AFM sideways causes the flapper door to be effected by gravity. The result is a car that either runs too rich, or too lean, depending on how you mount the AFM. '89+ cars don't matter.
