I can say this: I too live in Santa Barbara and those Mode 6's are an awesome sight to behold next to a stock FC. Unfortunately that 'kit' (I hate even calling it that, it's a full body conversion) costs close to 15k once all is said and done. First it's 4.5k excluding shipping and tax, after that each rim is about $800, and each tire they strap on is up to 200+ so you're talking at least 4k for all four corners, so we're up to 8.5k (on the low side). After that you've got to have the 'kit' installed cause it's definately not an easy task as most of the sheetmetal on those Mode 6's is replaced with their panels, thats probably another 3k at least. Then you've got your paint, I don't know about other parts of the country but here a paintjob that is worthy of that body is going to run you at least 3k, probably closer to 5. I love the 'kit', but if you're going to try to do that to an N/A you're insane .

HOLY **** BATMAN
I had no idea it would cost anywhere near that much....
Well, the fantasy of driving a FC with that bad *** kit is now LONG GONE!!!!! TRUST ME!
Now, how about some AFFORDABLE "kits" that exclude rims and tires. Something that is kinda basic to install, and that still looks totaly bad ***.
Dag, thank you VERY much for bringing this to reality. I never thought about paint, installation, rims, tires. Now I know I can stop dreaming about driving that beast of a FC.

wait why would a person out of state pay taxes??? shiping might bring up the cost but who cares. Why do you need to use those wheels and those tires?? Just get your own wheels and your own tires damn. I did not quite understand the comment about the instal though how would it bw harder to install than a normal kit?? removing body panels is not hard at all just time consumming. I do agree that the car better be putting down some power to back up those looks I would say at least 250whp or more. I would still like to have it thoud

A body kit that would fit your budget I think would be the Corksport one, it's alot cheaper and you can then afford some engine mods.
http://corksport.com/store/index.php3?cat=214911
It's only like $795 for the full kit.

there's another widebody kit option you could checkout at www.takakaira.com look under r-magic wide kit. personally, i think the tri-point is the smoothest of the three and still does a good job of retaining original body lines. as for that GTOII body kit, it's alright, but if i wanted a MKIII supra, i wouldn't be on an rx7 board.

Thanks for the link for that kit....
Since the site has no image for the whole kit, does anyone have this kit and would share an image?
If you need hosting, I have like 30GB of space and unlimited transfer.... (I own my own server at home...)
