Do it before, lots of times the best paint jobs have all body parts taken off to be painted seperately and put back on afterwards. So why not just have it painted and then put it on, make sure they match the color good, though

I agree with sideways. If paint before installing, there always will be nicks and scrapes installing the sheet metal parts. Put it together then paint.

Not if you take it to a good shop. Take the kit and the car there, have them paint it and install it for you. Some of the best show paint jobs have all the parts painted off of the car separately and them reassembled later.

ddub, love the letter - next time I am up your way I would like to stop by about 2 am with my 'quiet' car.
Install for fitment. Uninstall, paint and reinstall - will look a whole lot better.
