BNR Turbo Up Grade

I drive a S4 with S/P motor, fuel upgrades(FCON), full exhaust and intake. I want to send my turbo off to get a BNR up grade im thinking a stage 3. does any one have any experience with this? What all should I have done to it I know that there are a few options. Any problems I will run into? just any info would be appreciated pros, cons good or bad experiences. THanks

rx7store sells BNR upgrades. You may as well just go directly to brian and cut out the middle man. Id suggest just going to a local shop.

It's worth it. Bryan is good people and is good with the turbos. I have the Stage 2 and it makes a lot of power. How much? 330+rwhp. If I wanted more power than this I'd probably take the leap and go with a full T04S setup.

I got the stage 1 from Brian(probably should have went up more)last week. I have'nt had a chance to get on it and feel the pull....breaking in a new streetport. But it sure looks good..this is the same turbo that came with the car 76,000 miles...check how it looks now!!

Or you could take a look here: www.majesticturbo.com in TX.

They upgraded my stock turbo for $585; even w/ a ported wastegate limiting me to about 7-8psi (haven't added a boost controller/fuel upgrade yet) I pulled on 2 or 3 stock-looking LS-1's in 3rd and 4th.
Comes all bead-blasted/shrinkwrapped - nice work...

I'm looking at the invoice now and it reads as follows:

HT-18 REMAN & UPGRADE=STAGE 3 T/W 46/TRIM C/W 360* $585

OVER SIZE RINGS B/H $25

SHIPPING $40

In case you don't know t/w is turbine wheel, b/h is bearing housing, c/w is compressor wheel.
A buddy of mine did the same thing to his S4 but used a S5 manifold and turbo. At 10psi w/SAFC and 720's up top he ran a 13.08

And yes, they port the w/g - it's part of the process. These guys know their sh*t.

Brian does good work. If shipping is that much of an issue...well, do whatever. But I've dealt with BNR a lot and I'd buy lots of stuff from him. (Hell, My car will effectively be a BNR-mobile - bnr bigass streetport, bnr stage 4, among other things...)

So how bad would it be to do this to a S4 turbo? I know they have problems with boost creep, I was just going to port the **** out of the W/G and weld a bigger flapper door on. That should work slright shouldnt it??

$585 I think is a price for a stock compressor housing upgrade which is my stage 1. I sell it for $500 in a S5 form. The 87-88 has an enlarged puck assembly (30+mm) for $100 more. I need to get the site up and going again .

Take care, If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask...
