Hey.
I am not sure of BNR's pricing currently. I did shopwork and other stuff for some of my turbo :P
The website is still down. You can call BNR at (205) 640-1193.
Unfortunately there are no dyno charts for Stage IVs yet. I would say the ceiling is not much higher than 380-400rwhp. But honestly I do not know. Time will tell, my car will be finished before too long.

This is an email i got from brian, ,his prices are close to that list on www.rx7club.com under the upgrades to TII's, basically, Bryan don't take plastic, money orders or cashiers checks!!!! If you wanna use plastic, you have to go through rx7store.net
Hey Shane,
I do require a rebuildable core with that stage 3 purchase. Here is some info on the S4 turbos I offer...
Bryan
87-88 Turbo II Turbo Upgrades
There are 4 stages of upgrades for the Series 4 FC3S Rx7. All S4 turbocharger upgrades come with either 30mm internal wastegate port or a 35mm internal wastegate port. Both modified wastegates will keep a handle on boost creep. The turbochargers are 100% bolt up and come with a 1 year warranty!
Stage 1: The stage 1 turbocharger upgrade for the S4 RX7 consists of an upgraded compressor wheel (T04B), machined to fit factory compressor cover. The turbine wheel is clipped to spec to decrease back pressure and to help stabilize rotating assembly RPM. The rotating assemblies are balanced and blue printed to minimize vibrations and to give you a more reliable turbocharger upgrade. The wastegate is machined to 30mm, and the turbine housing inlet is ported (optional with purchaser b/c of the factory twin scroll set-up). The Stage 1 is capable of 300-310 RWHP at or below 15 psi of boost. The turbo will make peak boost at an estimated 3800 RPM.
Stage 2: The stage 2 turbocharger upgrade for the S4 RX7 consists of a T04B compressor wheel, T04B compressor cover package with dynamic seal backing plate and dynamic sealed thrust collar. Turbine wheel is clipped to spec to decrease back pressure and help stabilize rotating assembly RPM. The Rotating assemblies are balanced and blue printed to minimize vibrations and to give you a more reliable turbocharger upgrade. The stage 2 turbocharger has a 360 thrust bearing option for the people running 15 psi or more. The wastegate is machined to 30mm, and the turbine housing inlet is ported (optional with purchaser b/c of the factory twin scroll set-up). This set up has dynoed 332 RWHP at 14 psi of boost, also has ran an ET and MPH of 12.3 at 114. The car will reach peak boost around an estimated 3800 RPM.
Stage 3 : The stage 3 turbocharger upgrade for the S4 RX7 consists of a modified 60-1 compressor wheel, T04B compressor cover package with dynamic seal backing plate and dynamic sealed thrust collar. Turbine wheel is clipped to spec to decrease back pressure and help stabilize rotating assembly RPM. The Rotating assemblies are balanced and blue printed to minimize vibrations and to give you a more reliable turbocharger upgrade. The stage 3 turbocharger has a 360 thrust bearing option for the people running 15 psi or more. The wastegate is machined to 35mm, and the turbine housing inlet is ported (optional with purchaser b/c of the factory twin scroll set-up). The stage 3 is capable of 340-350 RWHP at or below 15 psi on a properly modified car. The car will reach peak boost at an estimated 4K rpm.
Stage 4: The stage 4 turbocharger upgrade for the S4 RX7 consists of a modified 60-1 compressor wheel, T04B compressor cover package with dynamic seal backing plate and dynamic sealed thrust collar. Turbine wheel is upgraded with either a 69 trim or a P trim T04, clipped to spec to decrease back pressure and help stabilize rotating assembly RPM. The factory turbine housing is machined to fit the upgraded turbine wheel. The Rotating assemblies are balanced and blue printed to minimize vibrations and to give you a more reliable turbocharger upgrade. The stage 4 turbocharger has a 360 thrust bearing option for the people running 15 psi or more. The wastegate is machined to 35mm, and the turbine housing inlet is ported (optional with purchaser b/c of the factory twin scroll set-up). This turbocharger upgrade can make from 350-370 RWHP on a properly modified car. The turbocharger will make peak boost at an estimated 4K RPM.

The reason a BNR sounds so good is because the difference between a TO4E with all the fuel and tuning crap and the BNR is like 2600...sounds pretty damn good to me. I'm not even gonna waste my time thinking about a bigger turbo, I got too many other things to worry about..

This is my point when the 60-1 i want is about the same priced shipped. Then you have to get a manfiold though- Even if i did/do the bnr stg IV, i need an S5 manifold regardless, so i figure i'll get both as an aftermarket product- I just can't find more than like 2 manifolds and they are both cast.

Well in terms of money, you're going to spend at least $300 for an external wastegate, $250 for a (shitty) t04 manifold, $200 for the oil/coolant lines, $400 (at least) for a custom downpipe...
The beauty of the Stage IV (and other hybrids) is that you can use all of your stock components and still get hella power.

He said that the stage 4 is to allow you to run higher than 15 pounds of boost with a higher degree of stability in the boost curve.
And, 780 bucks for a turbo capable of 400 HP... I'd say its a good price!!

I think I will soon be looking into buying this upgrade. I have an S4 tII and basically all I willl need is fuel and intercooler upgrades? I don't have to mess with my S4 manifold or change to an S5 one right?

i asked this in the other BNR thread, but got no answers.
do they have any compressor maps for their upgrades? i would really like the biggest one, just cause it's bigger, but that may not be what's best for me. i don't want to be horribly ouside the efficiency islands on my setup. basically, what i'm trying to say is, can i run low boost 5-10psi on a stage 3 or 4 and not be inefficient or near the surge line?
oh, and on rx7store they don't show a stage 4 for the S4 turbos, only S5.

Then look up the maps on turbonetics.com
Here's a 60-1...

doesn't the housing play a large role in the map shape? guess not.
also, these wheels are trimmed/modified. wouldn't that effect the map greatly?

i got a question
if someone goes with a stage IV, would they HAVE to go standalone if they are making around 325-375rwhp? or could one go with an SAFC and an ECU upgrade like the v1.5 to help with the timing and fuel, “reliably”?

Hey again.
Yes, the wheel is just a 60-1 wheel. The T04B housing is the only one that will fit, so that's what is used. I think mine is a .70 A/R.
The compressor wheel is not trimmed (can you even do that?).
You don't have to go standalone. There are band-aids to get by with the stock ECU. But I decided not to use the stock ECU, and that's the best way to do it.
