BLUE TII '09 hillclimb build

engine 7-
Unlucky 7. Rebuilt this engine with all same parts but tried factory 2 piece 2mm apex seals and put in a new Bosch '044 fuel pump in tank to stop a high rpm cut out issue it had despite OK AFRs on advice of two tuners who said it was caused by fuel pressure drop.
Broke this one in 5 miles after the rubber fuel line I had used between the new fuel pump and the fuel pump cover plate hard line split and lost all fuel pressure the 1st time I boosted it.
Broke one apex seal in the rear lengthwise and jammed the seal part into the front rotor housing pinching its apex seals for one compression pulse only on the entire motor.

This engine.
Rebuilt with all new to me used parts. and new factory seals. Have -an fittings on fuel pump to eliminate blow outs.
Done 1,800 miles. One street tune session, one suspension tune session (auto-X), one dual driver hillclimb event, an informal auto-x, a day at the drags, 3 dyno pulls, two auto-x days, 5th gear pull (most load possible) and a little touge action.
Crosses fingers. Hopes to get it onto loading dyno for a fine tune.

Wow. And this is over how many years?
Are you taking it to 7stock?
It is over 8 1/2 years and 42,000 miles.
I hadn't planned on another 7 stock trip.
I did the 7 stock thing 6 years ago and the car wasn't cool enough to get into the lot then so I doubt it would be now either since I haven't really done much since then except many small refinements to the original set up- and many years of racing wear on everything.

I've always loved this car.
Thanks staticguitar! It has been so long it is almost nostalgic to see posts on it now isn't it- lol.
I've always been amazed by this car. Great work! I always wanted to try and get you to make that v/h-mount thing you got going there!
That and I like it's color .
It is a great color isn't it. So you want to add a turbo or two to the LS-1 and a nice V-mount set up? Awesome No, I know what you mean.
I wish I could keep as good of bookkeeping as you do.
LOL- that engine list was actually just off the top of my head.
Never add up the receipts. When it was hit by a rent a cop and insurance wanted to total it I gathered all the receipts I had handy and my really sweet GF at the time faxed them all in tying up the insurance companies fax machine until they relented and authorized repair.
Anyways, that was a shock to see the $$ spent over the years...

have you tried taking off your rear sway bar for more rear traction? All the road race guys swear by it. I know a local guy running his auto-x car like that and loves it, I'm thinking about doing that to my car pretty soon once I get my suspension more sorted.
Yes!! I did this first on the CSP car when it was running BLUE TIIs suspension and wheels and tires. I really liked it.
I ended up taking the rear bar off of BLUE TII as well and it does help rear traction.
Last Auto-X I loaned out my old rebuilt JIC FLT-A2s to a friend (first ones free...) and I got to see exactly why it helps rear traction.
From the corner I was working I could see his inside rear tire pickup off the ground while cornering.
We disabled his rear sway bar and increased the front damping a bit at lunch break and it kept the inside tire on the ground.

Have you ever checked pre-turbine exhaust back-pressure with your setup? I recently did a external wastegate stock turbo setup and I am very curious to see how much a big w/g can help out a small turbine housing/wheel combo, or in your case just the small turbine housing...
