Blue or Grey smoke upon start-up in the morning?

Even in the afternoon 2-3pm 70-80 degrees outside, it will sometimes smoke. I only see it when I have time to watch it start up and not leaving in a hurry. I think it smokes at every start-up. I dont know exactly how much oil its eating because I dont know if or how many leaks I have.

Also, How many quarts of oil are you LOW if the buzzer comes on? around corners?

Normal, no worries for a little smoke on startup. If you have a low oil buzzer, you got a problem. I have gotten down to half full on the dip stick, and never heard the buzzer. Man, your oil seals could be shot, which = rebuild time!!

Don't ever let it get to the point the buzzer comes on. There is this thing called a dipstick.

A little smoke on startup is perfectly normal. It should stop after about 30 seconds or so.

The oil buzzer should NEVER come on if you keep the car properly filled. Try using the dipstick. If that buzzer comes on, it means that the pickup is no longer submerged and your engine is being starved for oil.

A little smoke is ok in the morning cause more often than not some gas/oil is still in a chamber cause a rotation hasn't finished. Plus you should get more if you run premix like me. Just keep running the premix and you should be fine.

I check the dipstick, and it always has oil on it. It might be the wrong size or something. It never has gone down to even the L mark, which would indicate 1 qt low. I checked it all the time, and when I check it when the buzzer comes on around a turn, its at F"Full"....WTF.

Im calling the dealer to get a dipstick quote for MY EXACT MODEL YEAR/

i've had my oil light go off once, it was when my oil cooler line blew, and if it wasn't for that buzzer my car would be in a junkyard right now. My oil pressure was still good though so when the buzzer goes off there is enought oil stillin the engine to run properly. I had to put like two quarts of oil in just to get it to read on the dipstick.

smoking is perfectly normal..the best in when it sits for a while (any longer than two weeks) the smoke cloud is awesome, but it goes away after a minute or so.
