Blue Bonez Down Pipe????
Blue Bonez Down Pipe????
I installed a Bonez Down pipe about 200 miles ago. I have been looking at it pretty regularly but all of a sudden it has turned a sky blue.
Is this normal? It was black when I got it and smoked for a little while it was burning off the oil from when it was manufactured but why would it be blue? Am I freaking out for nothing? I checked and there is no fluid leak and it is pretty much the entire pipe. Has this happened to anyone else with a Bonez down pipe?

The Bonez downpipe uses thin, cheap metal compared to what is needed for the application. It doesn't surprise me that it turned blue due to the heat. My old one was a little discolored, but I got rid of it because the flange warped because it was too thin.
I used a RB downpipe on my N/A and that changed all different sorts of colors. Its just the heat so nothing too much to worry about.
But downpipe on my TII is a corksport and it still has retained its normal color. IMO Corksport FTW
