Blown motor symptoms

Alright, I'm not sure entirly whats wrong with my car, but the guy said something about there was water in my engine, and pressure in my radiator--meaning the motor was "blown." Is this correct?

Eh... car wont start. It used tot ake a long time starting somedays, then all of a sudden just wouldnt start at all. We had it looked at and the mechanic said there was air in the radiator and water in the motor... so im guess leaking/broken water seals... any other ideas?

pull off the rad cap and fill it, then start the motor if you see a lot of bubbles( in the coolant), your coolant seals might be blown.

Lets elaborate on this.

To check for COOLING SEAL FAILURE (ghetto style),

Fill up cooling system ALL THE WAY, when motor is cold. Leave the fill cap OFF. Remove the EGI fuse. Crank motor (IT WONT START). IF you get LOTS of water come rushing out of the coolant fill neck, congrats, youve got a blown seal!
