At this point I would not be willing to part out the car. I'm going to school fulltime and the car is at my parents house. I don't have the time to commute back home and deal with stripping the car down.

I got an estimate to repair the damage, $1500 if I brought him a large cut out quarter panel.
$1500 seems very inexpensive for that repair and would be well worth doing...except you still have a blown engine (presumably) that will require around $2000 or so to fix.

So, you end up with a two-seater that you'd have to sell for at least $4000, just to break even.
Like I said before, tough break.

If you try getting a budget build, your asking for problems. I wouldn't imagine that you want to spend the money on this car for an actual motor build (new housings, bearings, seals and all).

To be honest, you'd be lucky to get 500 for the car. I tell you the truth bro, you can EASILY make 1500-2000 parting it out. I just parted out a vert, and the entire car was in much worse shape than yours... I bought it for 400 and made 1200 partially parting out, in 2 weeks!!!

If you have a friend that wants a project car, and you are attached to this car (don't want to see it parted out) sell it to them for cheap. But anyone else that buys this, is likely going to part it out and keep the interior (that's worth 500 it's self).

If you want to part it out, I'll take the shifter and e-brake !
