Blown Motor? Need help to diagnose.
Hello, new to the site, I have a 1986 non turbo wth the auto, which was rebuilt last year, here is what happened. The car started warming up on the way home, temp got close to the high end range on the guage but didnt go over, but right as I pulled into the driveway the engine died. It was a blown coolant line to the heater core, since fixed. When it starts it feels like its only running on one rotor, and will only run with my foot in it, wont idle at all. I tried the un flood procedure but that didnt help. I think I may have blown a seal but am not sure, what do I need to do to diagnose it? Looking to get it back on the road.

Yeah, stayed in the acceptable range on the guage, just at the high end. I have warped a housing on my first gen before when someone cut my coolant line and I was headed to a final I couldnt miss, but I dont think I warped it this time, didnt get that hot, wasnt boiling over, not leaking oil. I am looking at just pulling it out and fixing it. Just wouldnt want to do that if it was something non internal in the engine.
Check your compression on both housings, if those are good at least you know it isn't screwed. Something then, could be fuel, ignition, air flow meter. Definetly check compression first.

Also, check the FAQ for the "bubble test" to see if you have lost a coolant seal.
