Question Blown Motor

Will a blown motor still start?

IF it does start, even though blown, will there be signs of smoke coming out of the exhausts?

What are the additional signs, symptoms, etc that I should be looking for because I'm not sure if my motor is blown or not.

Any response will be appreciated.

sometimes a blown motor will still start it depends how bad it is, if it starts it will run very rough and be hard to start. do a compression test to diagnose it

Yes a blown motor can start and run, if it is only partially blown. It will pull very poor vacuum, not hold an idle, be very low on power and sound like a lawn mower.

Thank you so much for your input!! This is my first FC and I was just unsure of how it ran. I started my car, and it DID sound like a lawn mower, and when I did try to drive it there was just not much power. However, it does hold an idle ironically.. so does that still mean its partially blown?

How do I do compression tests? Sorry for such noobish questions, but I love my FC and I want her back up and running again.

Thank you for your input, I really do appreciate it !!
