Blown engine or...? I may have killed her...
I have an 89 GXL. My OMP was leaking about a month ago, so I decided to try installing a new O-Ring in it (which was successful), and while I was at it, I decided to remove my injectors to get em cleaned (occaisionally I'd have flooding issues, so I wanted to fix that). So I removed everything, shipped all four out to RC Engineering, and got em back a couple days ago.
I put em back in, and re-attached everything, double-checking as I went. I went to fire up the car, it wouldn't go. I continued to try until I held the throttle 3/4 down, and it finally rumbled to 'life'. It was stumbling and missing like crazy. It went up to about 2000 rpm, and I could tell there was something serisouly not right, so I let off the throttle, and she promptly died. I looked behind me, and could see tons of blue smoke out behind the car.
Three things that I can think of that may have happened are one, I may have dropped dirt into the combustion chambers or intake (I think I did), and maybe that threw a seal or something? Second, I smelled fuel when I got out of the car and looked under the hood. I figure I hooked something up wrong. This weekend I'll probably take my intake off again to check things out. But thridly, could it be possible that my apex seals got stuck in place during the month my engine was not started?
So basically I don't understand why she won't start, why instead there was blue smoke. Did I kill her??? Please offer me any advice you can. I want my baby back, I don't want to have to take her to the dump...

triple check everything. they can be very unhappy if just one thing is not right. if any dirt got in then it probably just got spit out the exhaust(though its still not good for the car)

Haven't we ALL heard this
You said you smelled fuel after it ran. Maybe you have a leak and the engine is not getting the fuel it needs to start/run. Did you pressure test the system before you put the intake manifold back on?
Install the fuel injectors and hook up fuel hoses and tighten everything down. Now, there is a yellow connector that is near the pass. side front shock tower. You will wanna get a piece of electrical wire. Now bend that wire in shape of a U. Then "Jump" the yellow connecter by placing the end of each wire in the two slots.
Then reconnect the battery (If you disconnected it before doing work...hope so. Then place the ignition key in the on posistion. This will cause the fuel pump to run and "Prime" the fuel system. Or put it under load. Now look over your work for leaks. Just an idea.
