Question Blown cooling seals - summer/winter

Hi Folks!

First short story to tell:
This summer I overheated my N/A (mountain-drive). After that it had the symptoms of blown cooling seals, and used to get hot on highway. Rarely drove the car since.
Now by chance noticed a bad waterpump -> replaced it yesterday and test-drive the car. Doesnt really get hot anymore. BUT outside-temperature its way below freezing point...
So my question: Will engine get hot in summer again, or would it do also now(even at low temperatures)?

Harry

If the coolant seals are gone, the car should heat up regardless of the weather. It should also consume coolant, and blow huge clouds of sweet smelling smoke.

If it was just your water pump, I would expect the heat problem to show up only in warm weather under load.

Well, thats just what it did! I really hope it was only the waterpump. Temperature still rises a little bit under heavy load, but in normal range... So my TII conversion has to wait :-)
