blown coolant seal

I blew a coolant seal about two weeks ago and I was wondering what should I do with the engine now. I cant remove the engine now because I'm in school but I'm going to rebuild it. I want to know if letting the car sit for a couple months will damage anything else. I drained the coolant so it wont rust anything in the engine. What else could I do?

I have a blown coolant seal also. I have been starting the car for a couple of minutes about once or twice a week to burn off any coolant in the combustion chamber (I have not drained the system). Probably not neccessary but I figure it would not hurt.
