Is it blown?
I'm stuck in Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia thanks to the current war. Two days before I left, I was driving my car back from Dallas where Rotary Performance tuned it. In the way back, my rear differential burnt out due to me overtorquing the bolt on the drain of the differential which caused it to leak and fail in the middle of the highway in the middle of the night. I didn't really have a chance to trouble shoot it, but after that my engine would only run for a few seconds and then shut off. This was last December so it could be because it was cold. It is a brand new engine and I really hope it is not blown. I have been dying to know if the engine is still good or not. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Is it even possible to blow your engine like that? Thanks for your help.

When you get back, run a compression test. Also, if you search for "blown engine" you will probably find reference to doing the "chug" test, where you listen to the pulses from the engine. It is very easy to diagnose a blown engine.

Thanks. I know the only way to tell for sure is with a compression test. As I mentioned above, I'm in Saudi Arabia and I can't do a compression test right now as my car is back in NM. I was just wondering if anyone had an opinion on if it was blown or not as that would put my mind at ease.
