blow off questions

blow off questions

can you use a "open vent" blow off valve on a S4 JDM motor. and bovs worjk well without too much moding. i have a brand new corksport charge pipe.

as far as I know, because of the MAF when you shift the computer will not account for the missing air that has now been dumped out your blow off valve and it will run rich between shifts and run like crap for a second or two or stall completely..

and also I know people who ran with it open and didn't have any noticeable problems.. so try it out.

the main problem is i have no bov right know it is a jdm motor and i had a N/A

Blah blah blah...yeah it all sounds great in theory but in reality the hole in the fuel map is not significant enough to cause any problems. Most people run BOV's on stock ECU's. Your gas mileage might go down and thats about it.

all i want is a stock bov so my car will run and i can sell my pos 2000 V-6 5-speed mustang. i have some more parts coming from japan2la i hope the stock bov is in there. however money and time is an issue so i need whatever i can efford to get the car running before i ship out for the navy
