Is block seal the same as block weld?

i'm in the process of the Temporary coolant seal fix

The recipe: two cans of Block Weld and some Purple Power degreaser from Pep Boys. The Block Weld is a clear liquid with copper granules blended in.
The process takes *hours* but can be very worthwhile!

I couldnt find block weld but instead i found block seal, are they the same type of thing? will it work for my aplication?

Step 5: When you are sure that the cooling system is very clean inside, refill with water plus two cans of Block Weld (no anti-freeze). Run the motor until warm (about 30 minutes). This hardens the Block Weld where the water is leaking into the motor. Do not rev the motor into high RPM during this process!

That's the worst thing you could do to any motor. gets everwhere and clogs everything, especially the thermostat

often times it doesn't work on these motors either and just causes a mess during the rebuild. when you see a broken iron you will realize why it rarely works at all or for long. save up for a rebuild

Well - it worked on my NA for a over a year.

Some luck, and catching the problem early makes a big difference.

Neglected annual coolant flushes are more likely to cause sludge buildup.
