Take the opportunity to flush the sytem with a hose. Remove both the radiator drain plug and engine block drain plug (bottom of center plate on the spark plug side), and run water through both the radiator filler and the filler on the thermostat housing until both drains run clear.
Replace both drain plugs and the radiator cap.
Remove the bleeder plug from the side of the radiator top connection.
Fill the system with a 70/30 mix of water and coolant through filler on the t'stat housing until it overflows out the bleeder hole.
Replace the bleeder plug and continue to fill the system until coolant reaches the filler neck.
Set the heater to fully hot and start the engine. As the engine starts to heat up, bubbles will appear in the filler neck as air is bled from the system by the flowing coolant.
Once all the air has bled out (no more bubbles), replace the filler neck cap and fill the overflow tank with water/coolant mix.
Go for a drive and check it doesn't overheat.
Once the system has cooled down, check the coolant level at the filler and the overflow tank and top up if necessary.
Good luck!
