"Bleeder screw" is rounded off...now what?!

has this happened to anyone here? I went to bleed the system on the car and now its just a hole in rubber what can i do?

Bleeder for what? Brakes? Coolant?

If it's brakes, just grab it with vice grips. If it is coolant, then you may be able to Dremel a large notch then unscrew with a big flathead screwdriver.

Heat Up a big flat head screwdriver and bury it in there (maybe with a hammer), LET COOL, turn.

Get replacements first if this is your only vehicle. Then for the future, just use a flat head screwdriver to drive it in and out. I found it less likely to round off this way.

welli went out and just drove the screw driver in without turning, and it essentialy made a new shape which mocks the origional haha...guess ill have to be more careful next time

89GTUFC3S? Like a 1989 GTU? S5? What coolant bleeder screw? S4's had them on the side of the radiator, but not the S5. The radiator cap is the high point in the S5 cooling system. So what bleeder screw? You can't mean the drain plug.

yea, that was my first car, which is sitting now with blown engine in garage, next to my turbo 2 (s4)

^^ S4's have a little rubber "screw" on top of the radiator that one uses to bleed the air bubbles out of their system...

its just to the left of the upper radiator hose
