Bit of smoke on startup

Ok. I searched, and there are alot of posts on this, non seem exactly like mine. Here is the deal, here recently, in the past week or so, it has started to have a puff of bluish gray smoke on startup. It only lasts for mabey 5 or less seconds, and it smells like gas. After it warmed up yesterday I stood out of it and hit the trottle, and looked back while I did it, and there was absolutely no smoke, so is this nothing to worry about?

We have a 88SE we bought 5 years ago with 89000 miles which did the same thing as yours, and it still does it today with 149000 miles. Has not seemed to be a problem!

Probably just the extra shot of fuel at startup in cold temps. If you are concerned, do a compression check on the engine to eliminate an internal engine problem.
