big question

i'm planning to upgrade my mufflers, i already removed 2 cats & planning to remove the main one. i'am looking at 2 stainless steel mufflers & the cats removed, will it sound real loud? & improve the car's power performance as well. or i should leave it in stock form.
your advice's would be helpful.

thanx

you should have noticed a big improvement when you gutted the first two cats...do you have emissions testing?

actually i noticed it, but wondering if it can get better by adding the upgraded mufflers, & we don't have emission test here in Florida. i'm just trying to see what advantages i have in getting easy Mods.

for a testamet to how loud mufflers are, straight through are loud. I've got a flowmaster series 40, and its quite decent. Manifold --> pipe --->resonater pipe --> muffler --> glasspak. Hardly able to notice when the car is running at idle form inside the car. Makes an agressive sound and isn't too high pitched. Gets loud when you want it to though.

The glaspack did help alot too, you heard every pulse without it. Once the glasspack was put on, it brought everything back together. Up until you get much load, then the pulses are pretty clear.

i'am looking at these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33636

i had troubled with the 2 pre-cats due to being clogged.
so instead of replacing them, my friend had them taken out.

if you want loud exhaust == a straight through muffler is great.

when i mean loud... its *loud*... like your car is not an option for a place to hold a conversation anymore. Your girlfriend might hate that...

EDIT: on the other hand, if its a drag/race car... headers and some strangthroughs!
