Question Big Question

If your oil seals go bad or start to go bad...will your car performance decrease? I have a 1988 RX7...NONE turbo

Oil seals

Do you mean the Rotor oil seals? I gather you're using oil and have a nice white puff of smoke when you start the engine.

If so, aside from the excess oil consumption and that it isn't excessive, some will argue this is a good thing. As I understand it, only real issue is possible pre-mature fouling of spark plugs

But, I'm not a engine rebuilding guy. So, more comments needed from the gallery.

White smoke = buring coolant. Blue smoke = burning oil. Black smoke= rich fuel mixture. Burning too much oil will foul plugs. Obviously requires a teardown to replace oil rings on rotors.

ok, does that mean the car will NOT perform well...that's the question....will it lack performance, speed????
