Big Guy in TII With Racing Seat

I am a fairly large guy, 6'4" 210lbs, and I'm looking into getting a racing seat for my AE. My stock seat has had it. Does anyone on here have a racing bucket in their FC? I have tuned an FD with a Sparco bucket and it was a total PITA to get in and out of because I am tall. The owner was a little Japanese feller and being 5'6", it was perfect for him. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

J

There's a good thread in the Racing section about this a few months ago...
With your height, you almost need to permanent mount the seat to the floor to get the added headroom.

The Sparco EVO XL and Cobra Suzuka GT (width) are on the top of my list.
I'm 6'1", 250#, 30" inseam.

I'd probably have to go with a reclining seat so I could fit with a helmet. I have never sat in an FC with any type of racing seat.

Thanks for your input Ted.

Good read, thanks. I found a different thread, but basically it had the same info. I'm going to look for a company that is local so I can sit in the seat and compare.

I have Corbeau Forza IIs in my FC. I used the Corbeau brackets. The seats fit fine. I am 6'1 about 250. These are fixed back seats. They fit well, but with my helmet on, I could use a little more room.

Im 5'11" at 170, my racing seats work for me. I made my own mounts using OEM sliders.

Thansk for the replies, guys.

I'd be fine with fixed bucket seats except for the fact that I don't want to limit my accessibility to my storage bins. My battery will be in the drivers bin and I will be putting the tank for my W2A IC in the passenger bin. I also carry my 2 stroke oil in my drivers bin, but when the battery goes in there, I'll probably just drop it behind the seat on the floor.

How accessible is it behind the bucket seats when they're slid all the way forward?
