Which Race seats fit in FC
What are my options for a sliding race bucket seat. I've tried to do some research to see which fit, Sparco EVO, I have a set of Bride rails, but dont really have to use a Bride seat. What do you IT and em guys use? Which seat is comfy and still fits in the car?

I have Sparco Revs in my FC, I have also had a Kirkey Road Race intermediate. If you tell us exactly what type of seat you want, and how much you weigh/how tall you are, we can help better. Sparco universal sliders(50.00) are a good way to go, as are their universal side mounts. The Rev allows someone from 6'2" to 5'3" to drive my car. Look up the overall width of the Rev, that will give you an idea. Carl

Hey Carl - how do you like the Kirkey? I am thinking about seat(s) for my track FC (under construction) and was wondering about the difference between the full road race seat and the ubiquitous kirkey economy (or plain intermediate) seat.

I've searched this forum and every rx7 forum along with the IT forum, there's no conclusive answers. I appreciate the reponses, I'm looking for something that is comfy enough to live with daily driving, while giving me enough head room for a helmet. I'm 6' tall and about a 34 waist. 175 lbs.
So it looks like the sparco Rev's are out, since it's meant for a 31-32 waist, so let me see the measurements on those and maybe I can figure what will fit. Anyone my size, what do you use? and which mounts? thanks.

I am 5'7” 34" waist about 195lbs. I used the stock sliders and just made brackets that go across the rails. I also added another piece going from front to back for the submarine belt. The link has pictures and measurements of the Cobra seats and Sparcos.

I'm looking for a seat that will fit an FC, something that can recline, light weight, performs well, and look nice in a white FC. And most of all cheap as in maybe 100-250? do those exist or am I gonna have to wait till someone has a good bargain

Im using the Bride Zeta 3. Fit me extremely well but im 5'8, 155lbs and approx 30-32 waist. I think anything more then that would have a tough time. There is a larger version of the Zeta 3 though which would work. I also considered the Recaro SPG but this was also slightly bigger then the Bride.

Im 180, 6' and have very long legs and arms... and big (size 14) feet.
So far the only car Ive been able to get the right distance from the wheels/pedals and adjust JUST so is a saturn wagon (go figure... but I'll be damned if that rack had any slop at all).
Arent FC's generally better for tall people than a FD? And what seat would do well w/ me?

Any seat will probably fit
Any seat will likely fit. You will either have to fabricate mounting brackets to adapt the seat to the stock rails or fabricate new mounts to fit the rails that come with the seat. In my FC I'm using a Sparco Pro2000 with the Sparco rails (about 1/2" tall) on custom mounts. I trimmed down the stock seat mounts and welded in a few nuts which the new rails bolt into. Took about two hours. The five point hraness goes from the stock seatblet mounts and the roll cage.
