Big favor, can you guys or girls post pics of your Cold Air boxes?

I recently went to a cone filter, and the difference is AMAZING!! But I am getting concerned about my underhood temps affecting my intake temps. So I would like to fab up a cold air box.

Would you all be so kind as to post pics of yours so I can get some ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Jarrett

Yeah... my cone filter is out in the open, no stock "ram-air" box leading to it... but I still suppose I need to put a box in huh?

EDITED FOR IDIOCY APARENTLY POINTED OUT BY THE WISE AND MIGHTY RATS

300MPH- You would be better off with a box aroudn the filter. The link I refered you to was for my future group buy of a product that would eliminate the need for a cold air box all together. I simply wanted to give you an option. BUT as the rats of the worl have pointed out I failed to serve a purpose so please disregard my post and any further ones because I am aparently an IDIOT. I agree but I don't care anymore.

Well, considering that link doesn't have ANY pictures, I don't see what you mentioned it for, or is this just another attempt to horde people to your group buy?

I am offering an alternative. Even Jarrett is/was interested. But unfortunatly my personality quirks fudged that up nicely

Whatever pissed you all off damn guys I AM sorry. I am trying to offer options to people. The descission to buy is not made buy me. It is made buy them.

Look Santiago,

I am merely trying to get some fab ideas. You are fabbing a CAI system, and I would like to also. I am not completely interested in spending wads of cash so someone can make something I can do just as easily and for a fraction of the cost. If you want to discuss with me, personally, the problems that some of us have with you, lets do it via PM or AOL. There is no need to cast disparities here.

Do you have any specifications/measurements? That looks pretty cool, although I was pondering the use of sheetmetal as it conducts alot of heat.

I see that it retains the original snorkel too, for fresh air. Very cool. Can we get more details?

look we went through this a while ago. remember? I am a bumass. I agree but you all can't seem to at least be nice about it. I can't always be a friggin diplomat about things. I mostly never think about what I post untill afterward. It is the way I think. It is being trouthfull and showing true feeling unlike sensored talking. IM me if you want to talk but really I don't see you guys accepting anything. what do you want me to do hire a guy with a plane to write out I AM SORRY! in smoke so half the people in your towns knows I am an idiot? SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY

I mean it dammit! SORRY!

somethings I just can't help guys. If I had 100% control over my personality do you think I would be like this? I would be a calm guy if I could make myself be on. BUT I CAN'T. I try but stress gets to me. and all this fake nice nice stuff fall s apart. its not me. I am an ******* normally but i like having friends with you all but you don't know how I am so you don't understand who I am and how I think. My friends here in Tx know me and just see my faults are part of me the person. You all can't.

Hey talk to Attomica. He build a really bad *** air box and will send you the template for the price of shipping I believe. Actually if he doesnt care, I could send you the template he gave me, since I sold my car and never got to use it.

I presume your refering to my pic?

The is an electric fan out of a 93 mercury sable.
It bolts right onto the stock locations on the fc rad,
pulls alot of air, and was only 35 bucks.

Car used to run at half during the summer, now it stays at 1/4. I got a water temp gauge that i have to hook up now and actually see what im running.

About the box. Ill go get some measurements.
I had a buddy fab it up at his steele shop, just cut pieces, bent them and tig'd them toghether...

Mariahs box is an overpriced sheet of metal. Seriously, contact Attomica. Do a search under his screen name for "cold air box". His air box is awesome. And cheap to make.

There's a lot of discussion on this subject. A search will reveal quite a bit a useful information.

Have a look at this thread...
