Big decision, help me out guys

Basically i recently blew some seals in the front housing of my 87 T2, againnnn. Car is in great shape, and theres a lot of time and money into it. It made 325WHP on 13psi, loaded with mods. Could still use a few things besides a motor to make it perfect, but here's my decision. I'm going to be needing something a little more reliable, lookin for somethin newer, but i don't want to go away from rotory.

So i was lookin at RX-8's this week, went and test drove one, slow as hell but i loved it anyways. Lots of room, smooth, quiet, four seats. Basically my question is, it has 70K on it, with a nice set of Rota's, Are these cars more reliable as far as the engine goes? I just want something i can trust a little better. What do you guys think?

There good cars and are just as reliable as all 13b rx7's.
If it was taken care of and properly mantained it should last a good while. Take a look at the seller and you can tell if they abuse or taken care of it and the best way is a 100 point inspection and test drive.

I would say fix the t2. 325rwhp you would miss that with a weak rx8.

well see the thing is, i'm worried that if i fix my T2, the motor is just going to have more problems. Meaning i'm just afraid of it blowing again. I'm not really worried about the power difference, i know ill be losing alot haha. But was just wondering what you guys thought as far as reliability. thanks for the input, anything else?

Well your silly then. Your T2 will have 0 miles on the engine and the rx8 will have 70000. Just wind the boost down and look after it and the t2 will be better.

Just do a full rebuild. Replace everything that needs to be replaced. And you will have a brand new engine vs a 70,000 mile engine. Plus the RX-7 FC's are so much better.

You could always rebuild the RX7 and then buy the RX8...
