Better RX7 suspention

I'm looking to upgrade my suspention and was wondering what the best set up would be. Should I just go out and buy all the aftermarket crap or would it be just as well to get new struts, springs, and sway bars and leave it at that?

Depends on how much $$$$ u got. Personally I'd go w/ a coilover setup. My favs are Cusco or Tein or JIC.

You can't afford "the best".

Why don't you tell us what you're going to do with your car and how much you're willing to spend first, and then we can give you better suggestions.

ditto^

might want to learn how to spell "suspension" also.
and although this is a good place for 2nd gen specific questions, i think you can get some good advice from the dedicated suspension forum...

although i would like to add you are either going to be looking at the realm of a component system (new shocks and springs) or a coilover system. you have to decide how much money you want to spend on it and then go with one of the two, and then start narrowing down your options...

LoL, Ted.

I recommend Tokico blues for a "economic upgrade" I opted to go with a full set of blues and Eibach progressive springs on all four corners. I ended up spending around $550 for everything and it's 100% improvment over the factory worn/broken shocks and struts.

Do a search. several aftermarket vendors sell suspension kits for our FC chassis.

you may want to get all new bushings first! After witch then go with an upgraded suspension. I've heard tokiko's are good and I've also heard kyb's are equally as good, both have an ajdustable and a non adjustable of course the later being less expensive by a couple of hundred. Also racing beat springs are supposedly a very good spring to go along with either one of them.

Ps. If your bushings are shot there is only so much that better struts and springs are going to do.

I dunno man, $700 isn't a ton of money. I remember all my suspension work totaled in at around $2200.

oh damn!!!! My bushing set was about 100 bucks plus labor to put them in (don't know yet because I haven't got someone to do it yet) I'm going to get the kyb non adjustable struts because I don't drift or race or anything and those are 215 plus shipping and the springs are about what maybe 200 to 300 for racingbeat so your looking at 600 plus I would say 75 give or take for shipping so that is 675 and if you can do everything yourself you have it made however the bushing thing is what is going to get me because I can buy a spring compressor for the struts and springs removal and install but I have no clue on bushings.

What does it do if you have the adjustable shocks, because i have the tokico adjustable shocks, and was wondering what i can do with them, and by the way my shocks plus my racing beat springs and struts, you really cant get the car to let go of the road...

With 700 u can get a set of Ground Control coilover, with tokico adjustables. Good for almost anything.
