Having it removed would be a bit tricky, and I'm sure it's not going to look quite right

I like how you modified your signature

-------

'89 GTUs: Running!
93% Bone stock (god damn moonroof!)

--------

Other than that the car looks sweet.

Looks good. What's that behind your charcoal cannister and just above your sub zero assist resivoir? Is that cruise control? I thought this was a GTUs? What happened to your front splitter?

Yeah, it does have cruise, amazingly enough they installed it as an option. The front splitter isn't there, not sure why, it just has a rubber lip all the way around it, strange stuff.

It was custom installed before I bought the car, I'm assuming it was just a kit someone had installed.

I'm going to go see what it'll cost me to get that atrocity removed. I'll PM you some of the other GTUs sources I found.

hey, man, congratulation with the new toy.

surprise me that we both got very similar car, almost identical. here is my car:

1989 black GTUs, almost bone stock, here are the similarities, and differences:

1)electric moonroof/sunroof. looks like yours, but it slide out like sunroof. yours is pushed up
2)AC(nice)
3)Momo steering wheel, yours is stock.
4)aftermarket foglight just like yours. :-)
5)the motor runs, but smoke.
6)additional Viper alarm system
7)additional shifter lock
8)the body is not as shiny as yours.

right now, the car is parked on my driveway, no time to play with it. :-( otherwise, I will drive up there to meet you.

oh, couple more things:

I got a aftermarket shifter, and hatch cover, aftermarket stereo. it seems like yours is stock without those from the pictures.

boston is not that far from maryland. ummm, I am sure we will meet one day. :-)

That moonroof looks like ****. Did they cut the hatch from a submarine or something? It is not even the right size or shape.

Please have it removed. It is not that hard for a body shop, and you will not be able to tell. My friend had that done to his GTU, and you cannot tell at all.

AS for RX-7s with cranks, yes, just about all SEs and GTU and GTUs models have them. On top of that GTU and GTUs models frequently came with no rear wiper or sunroof, but I do thankfully have power mirrors.

My '89 SE's got the cranks, no rear wiper, no sunroof, and no storage bins behind the seats
